MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Kenneth Ray Greemann, 68, of Cedar Ridge Road, peacefully departed this earth on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, into the arms of his loving Savior, where he longed to be. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived a life marked by steady faith, hard work, gratefulness, and a ready smile for anyone he met. Ken was born on January 5, 1957, in Tipton, Indiana. He spent much time on his grandparents’ farm. He became involved in scouting at a young age and often spoke fondly of camping trips in various places around the country. He went on to earn his Eagle Scout, and the disciplined skills of scouting served him well throughout his life. Putting himself through college, Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Bob Jones University in 1979. It was there that he met his wife, Debbie, when they both were members of the yearbook staff. They were married on November 8, 1980, side by side for almost 45 years, creating and raising a beautiful family together. Ken was known for being a hard and loyal worker, pouring his energy into any position he held. Most of his career was spent in sales management. His easy manner and ability to talk to anyone served him well in this industry. When he had to take early retirement, it was a difficult reality for Ken to accept. He loved to work and never wanted to retire, but he poured his energy into yard work, no matter how hot or cold it was outside. It was another hard transition when he was no longer able to complete these tasks. And even then, with his limitations, he would ask Debbie, as he had done so many times before, "what can I do to help?” Ken loved his church, Grace Bible Church, in Winston Salem, especially the leadership and teaching, the people, the kids, the hospitality, the missions emphasis, and wanting to help in any way he could when he was able. He also loved the Georgia Bulldogs. He watched every game he possibly could since being introduced to the Bulldogs, and he and Debbie planned their wedding in Athens, GA, around the football schedule. One of his favorite stories to tell was about one of the most memorable plays in Georgia football history that took place on their wedding day! Above all else, Ken loved his family fiercely. His children never wondered if he was proud of them or that he loved them. He rarely missed an opportunity to tell them. Despite his busy work schedule, he was always there, showing up to school events, coaching sports teams, helping with moves, working on house or yard projects, holding babies, whatever they needed, at whatever hour it was. Becoming “Pop” to 5 grandchildren was one of his life’s greatest joys. He poured into their lives whenever he could and cherished them all so deeply. Even in his struggles, his smile was so genuine in moments of pure joy when he would see and recognize his wife, children, and grandchildren. Early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease chipped away at his mind and memory, but his spirit was strong, and he never forgot his family. His body and mind were broken at the end, but his family and friends rejoice that he has now been made whole in the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His family would like to thank all those who loved him and cared for him so well in so many ways throughout his life and especially in his final days on earth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Evelyn Benson Hall; his step father, Richard E. Hall; and a sister, Sherry Greemann. Ken leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Deborah Lynn Cummings Greemann; three children, Erin Bray (Cassidy) of Greensboro, Ryan Greemann (Emily) of Taylorsville, and Adam Greemann (Kate) of Mocksville; five grandchildren, Faye Greemann, Harper Bray, Cannon Bray, Cooper Bray, and Whitney Grace Greemann; a sister, Gail Vess; a brother, Don Greemann (Linda); and other loved ones. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, Open Air Chapel of Peace, with Pastor Rich Powell and Mr. Dwight Ball officiating.
