Peggy Carole Frank Hill

MOCKSVILLE – Mrs. Peggy Carole Hill, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. Carole was born on March 6, 1937, in Denton, NC. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Nellie Frank. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Hill; a daughter, Donna Bishop; a son, Lee Dwane Hill; two brothers; and one sister. Carole enjoyed reading, painting, gardening, crocheting, writing poetry, and watching game shows. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and loved hearing Pastor Cox preach. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cathy Hunt and son-in-law, Ronnie of Mocksville; six grandchildren, Chris Bishop, Tiffany Ingham, Dustin Hunt, Eric Grayson, Ashley Witter, and Jessica Davis; ten great-grandchildren, Brooke, Logan, Ryan, Landon, Xavier, Millie, Adelyn, Carson, Darci, and Asher, who loved to come and get their Reese’s cups and Cheerwine from GG’s house; and one great great grandchild, Easton Bishop. Broken Hearts – If you feel your heart is breaking and life seems too much to bear, remember one who loves you, remember someone’s always there. Take your cares to Jesus, he will hear you if you pray, he will gather all your troubles and bring sunshine to your day. Broken hearts can be mended, broken lives will heal in time, even if you’re in the valley, over mountains you can climb. Just ask our Blessed Saviour to guide you on your way, taking each day as you find it, till all heartaches melt away. – Carole Hill ‘90 A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, May 2, at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church. Carole will be laid to rest beside her husband at Walter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington.
