WOODLEAF—Mr. Michael Dennis “Hillbilly” Nance, 60, of Cool Springs Road, died suddenly on Friday, May 27, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1962, in Grayson County, TX, to the late Joe Horace Nance and Nancy Jane Hollingsworth Nance. Mr. Nance was a very devoted husband, loving his wife of 37 years unconditionally. He also loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a “long-haired country boy” that loved hunting and fishing. He loved his truck, “Big Red”, and would always been seen wearing a big, floppy hat. Mr. Nance was a hard worker and a very generous man, quick to help anyone. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will be missed by so many. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Nance; and an aunt, Joyce Bordeaux. Survivors include his wife, Angela Henry Nance, his children, John Mitchell Nance, Misty Campos Mitchell, Michael Brandon Nance (Shannon), Alicia Nance Schwenk (Jason), Whitney Nance, and Alyssa Mitchell-Campos; 11 grandchildren, Alyssa, Dylan “Hopscotch”, D.J., Brianna, Justice “Jut”, Brooklyn “Brook”, Dylan “Bob”, Kaylee, Ava, Gemma, Michael, Daisy, and Hunter; and two siblings, Michelle Barnes and Melinda Harris. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Eaton Funeral Chapel.
